Tabor has a rich tradition of hockey in the New England Prep School ranks. The program has two levels of play to offer our student athletes - varsity and JV. The Boys JV hockey team consists of a variety of skill levels, from new athletes who have minimal skating experience to more experienced younger players who are not ready to play at the Varsity Level. The goals of the program are to, first and foremost have fun, learn the nuances and skills of the game, and to gain a healthy respect for their competitors.
If you would like to learn more about the Tabor Boys’ Hockey program, please contact Coach Gerry Dineen.
Coach Chaput has loved hockey his entire life and people closest to him will tell you he is obsessed with the game. He played in high school and in college where his club team at Bates College won three NECHA regular season titles and two league championships. He captained the team for three seasons. He now plays men’s league and loves every second he is playing or coaching. When he is not coaching he can be found in the history office, on the lacrosse and soccer fields or in Knowlton House, where he is a houseparent.
