Tabor has a rich tradition of hockey in the New England Prep School ranks. The program is fortunate to have three levels of play to offer our student athletes. The Boys JV hockey program is the second of Tabor Academy’s hockey teams. It consists of a variety of skill levels, from experienced younger players who are not ready to play at the Varsity level yet to those that have less experience with the game. There is also an intramural program that allows even more of our students to play this great game several times each week.
The goals of the program are to, first and foremost have fun, learn the nuances and skills of the game, and to gain a healthy respect for their competitors. The Boys JV hockey program builds on the love and passion of the game and works to bolster this love with refined hockey skills and a continued focus on sportsmanship while raising the competitive level. The increased ice time and high standard of play best prepares these student athletes to vie for positions on the Varsity team in the future.
