Co-ed ice hockey clinic for athletes entering grades 2-9

With a student/instructor ratio of 7:1, The Tabor Hockey School is dedicated to improving each student's individual skills and hockey knowledge. Morning on ice sessions focus on skating, puck handling, shooting and other skills, while the afternoon sessions are dedicated to improving read and react skills and on-ice awareness through small area games and team play.

An Athletic Trainer will be on site. This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, HIPPA, and be licensed by the local Board of Health.

Cost: $795
Includes camp jersey and souvenir t-shirt. Register by March 16 to receive an Early Bird Discount! (Lunch is NOT provided. Campers will need to bring a bagged lunch and a water bottle each day.)

Please note, there is a non-refundable deposit of $100 required. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the program.

About the Staff

Director: Gerry Dineen

A 1989 graduate of Middlebury College and a native of Bourne, MA, Gerry is Tabor's head Boys Hockey coach. While at Middlebury, Gerry was an All-New England Defenseman and a standout baseball player who played for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League. After college, Gerry played hockey professionally in Europe before returning to the USA where he has been teaching and coaching in the prep school ranks since 1991 (before Tabor, he has was head boys' hockey coach at Vermont Academy and Brooks School).

Coach Eric Long

Coach Long joined the Tabor community as the Associate Director of Admissions in 2007 and became Director of Enrollment in June 2018. Eric is also the head coach of the Girls’ Varsity Ice Hockey, considered one of the premier programs in Division I. Prior to his time at Tabor, Eric had an accomplished career playing professional hockey, ending his playing career in Europe, before moving on to Kimball Union Academy as an admissions professional and Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey coach. In his free time, Eric enjoys boating on Buzzards Bay and watching his children play their own sports.

In addition, the staff will consist of a number of experienced college coaches, prep coaches and players who were chosen not only for their ability to teach the game, but also for their desire to work with players and to pass on their love of the game.
