Seawolf Strength Training is designed for aspiring high school and collegiate athletes aiming for peak performance. The sessions offer expert coaching, tailored programs, and top-notch facilities to prepare athletes for their season. Set on Buzzards Bay, it’s an ideal setting for growth and focus.

2025 Program Details

Dates
  • Starts June 23 and ends August 1
  • Program runs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
  • No sessions on July 4
  • Students may register for as few as one, or as many as 6 weeks. Weeks do not have to be consecutive.
AGES
  • Session 1 (Advanced): 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM ET
    Grades 9-12, Collegiate Athletes
  • Session 2 (Intermediate): 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM ET
    Grades 6-10
Rates
  • $80 per 90-minute session
  • Early Bird Discount: Register between January 15-February 15 to receive $10 off!

Meet the Director:

Samuel Heavey

Sam is working a multifaceted role at Tabor as both strength and conditioning coach and director of student activities. He is also a dorm parent. Prior to Tabor, Sam worked as a coach at Athletic Performance Training, a gym in Falmouth, MA. He also coached at both UMass Dartmouth and New Bedford Vocational High School. Sam received his masters from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where he both interned with division one athletes and assisted teaching an undergraduate course. Sam grew up on Tabor campus and where his dad John was an English teacher for 30 years. While at Tabor Sam played varsity football, wrestling, and lacrosse and was elected captain of the wrestling team his senior year. Sam thrives for all outdoor activities including paddle boarding, hiking, and snowboarding. He is also an avid reader and enjoys attending the yearly reading of Moby Dick at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
