Gateway Ambassadors

Two students walking out of Stroud Academic Center

Be a Local Leader. Make Global Connections.

Tabor Academy invites local or boarding students to become Tabor Gateways Ambassadors—a unique five-day intercultural exchange experience where global friendships begin! As an Ambassador, you’ll connect with international students visiting our campus to study Model United Nations and Marine Science. Together, you’ll explore shared passions, participate in afternoon sports and activities, and learn more about each other's lives, languages, and cultures.

Ambassadors can stay overnight in Tabor’s dormitories, take part in all meals and activities—completely free of charge. This is more than a camp; it's a chance to build lasting international friendships, practice communication and leadership skills, and become part of a truly global community.

At the end of the week, participants will receive community service hours and a letter of recommendation from Tabor faculty in recognition of their leadership and engagement. Students who participate in the full program may be eligible for the Presidential Service Award.

Program Benefits:

  • Make new friends from around the world
  • Share your culture, learn about others
  • Help students practice their written and spoken English. Learn Chinese!
  • Participate in hands-on learning, sports, and afternoon fun
  • Practice leadership and communication
  • Build your resume with community service hours and a letter of recommendation
  • Students who participate in the full program may be eligible for the Presidential Service Award
