Gateways Program
Tabor Academy’s 2025 Summer Gateways program offers a unique residential academic experience designed to prepare international students for future studies in the United States.
Combining cultural exchange, academic rigor, and language immersion, the program includes two signature seminars: School by the Sea, featuring hands-on marine science exploration in Tabor’s oceanside laboratory, and Global Ideas, an interactive Model UN seminar tackling political and climate challenges. Students engage in nine hours of seminar classes and three hours of independent study per topic, all taught in English by independent school faculty. Afternoon activities and evening language learning sessions foster community, communication skills, and cross-cultural connections.
A unique highlight of the program is the opportunity to connect with teaching assistants who are Tabor alumni. These mentors provide invaluable insights into life at Tabor, the U.S. education system, and American culture, offering a personal perspective that enriches the experience. Through conversations, guidance, and shared experiences, these relationships foster a sense of belonging, build confidence, and inspire students to envision their own educational journeys. This mentorship adds an extra layer of connection and support, making the Summer Gateways program truly unforgettable. This is your chance to immerse yourself in the ultimate American boarding school experience.
New for 2025!
We’re excited to open this program to all students. Residential and day options are available for students looking to expand their global awareness while learning with and from students around the world.
