Arts Spaces
Need a place to explore your artistic abilities? The Braitmayer Art Center houses two studios. The Ceramics Studio is equipped with 14 electric potters’ wheels, three indoor electric kilns, two outdoor Raku kilns, a slab roller, pug mill extruder, state of the art glaze lab and down draft gas kiln. The Fine Arts Studio has areas for painting, sculpture, drawing, and printmaking.
Athletic Spaces
In 2011, the Fish Center for Health & Athletics, and the football, baseball, and field hockey fields all underwent major renovation. This project brought an updated interior design to the Fish Center, a new hard wood playing surface to the Roller Basketball Court in the Stone Gym, and the Richard Duffy '56 Athletic Fields, a three field turf complex, bringing the number of outdoor playing fields to eight.
In addition, Tabor Academy boasts three multipurpose indoor courts, the Travis Roy Ice Rink in the Howard Johnson Arena, the Gowing Outdoor Track, seven tennis courts, five international squash quarts, four North American squash courts, a wrestling room, and an indoor rowing tank. The Boat House, located on the waterfront, serves as the launching point for sailing and crew.
The Tabor Academy arts and athletic facilities may be rented for a number of individual and group activities, and can be reserved for camps, tournaments, practices, and other events.
