New Student Enrollment

For International Families

International Students

There are many things that our international students must do to make the journey to Tabor in September. We hope you will find the information contained here helpful as you prepare for the coming year.

Communication
Most of our communication with families will be done either electronically or will be posted on our website on your Child's page or the Resource Tab, each a password-protected section of our website. In order to access that information, you will need to be logged into the website. Grades and comments, as well as advisor letters, will be found in these secure locations.

If you need help with English, please email or call us for assistance.

Orientation
Each international student has one or more Global Partners, returning students who have volunteered to come early and help you at International Orientation. They will email you sometime over the summer to say hello and introduce themselves. Please reply to your Global Partner when you receive their email.

Questions
Any questions you have about preparing for school, including financial accounts, academics, dormitory life, and the start of school should be directed to Steve Downes or Rick DaSilva. They will be able to help you in most cases, and if needed, will forward your email to the correct school office. Mr. Downes and Mr. DaSilva are the main points of contact for international students and parents from your enrollment through the start of school, and they will be central to many aspects of school life after that.

Travel Planning
In late August please confirm to us your arrival plans. If you plan to arrive in the New England area several days early, please give us a call. If you need help with September transportation from the airport to arrive at Tabor, Mr. Downes and Mr. DaSilva will help coordinate this; please email to request any assistance.

Additional Fees
There is a required annual fee of $1,200 to cover additional services provided to International students, including US citizens who live overseas, and citizens of other countries who live in the United States. Comprehensive Health Insurance is required, and the school plan is offered for $1,950 annually. With rare exceptions, International families choose this plan. These fees will be billed separately after enrollment agreements are completed.

We look forward to welcoming you to Tabor in September.
