Tabor athletes not only enjoy their proximity to Buzzard’s Bay for unparalled, quick access for water sports, but avail themselves of state of the art athletics facilities in every sport. In 2011, the Fish Center for Health and Athletics was renovated to include a new hard wood parquet basketball surface in the Stone Gym, along with the installation of artificial turf fields spanning eight acres for football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse and field hockey. In 2013, a rowing tank lined with erg machines was added to the building to enhance our crew program.
Along with eight outdoor playing fields, Tabor athletes have use of three multipurpose indoor basketball or tennis courts, the Travis Roy '95 Ice Rink in the Howard Johnson Arena, the recently resurfaced Gowing Track, eight tennis courts, five international squash courts, and three North American squash squash courts, a wrestling and dance facility, and two boat houses for sailing and crew.
Finally, to support the strength and health of all our students there is a modern weight room including a supervised free weights room, along with professionally staffed athletic training facilities. Our trainers also manage a strength and conditioning program
for our most serious athletes.
