Diversity Leadership Council

What is the mission of the Diversity Leadership Council?

Tabor Academy’s Diversity Leadership Council, led by the chair, consists of a small group of faculty and staff who are charged with the following mission:
  • Implementing the strategic plan for diversity and inclusion initially based upon recommendations in Tabor’s 2013 diversity assessment report
  • Coordinate faculty and student multicultural education and help to facilitate the application of knowledge surrounding issues of diversity and inclusion.
  • Recommend institutional structures and policies necessary to overcome potential challenges and to reach goals.
  • Develop and implement evaluation methods by which to determine progress in moving towards goals.
  • Serve as a resource to the Tabor community and support the Co-Directors of Equity and Inclusion and of the Center for International Students.
The Diversity Leadership Council reports directly to the Head of School.
