Tabor Academy Welcomes Three New Trustees

Tabor Academy is pleased to welcome three new members to its Board of Trustees: John (JJ) Healy ’79, Kristen (Kristi) Miller Mahoney ’01, and Aaron Polhemus ’01. Together, they bring expertise in business, philanthropy, healthcare, conservation, and the built environment, along with a shared commitment to Tabor and its mission. 

Healy is the founder of Healy Capital LLC, an investment and real estate firm based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. A veteran of the technology industry, Healy has decades of operational, investment, and mergers and acquisitions experience, including leadership roles at Yahoo! Inc., where he served as vice president of corporate development, as well as positions at EMC Corporation and CS First Boston. 

In addition to his business career, Healy owns the Double J Ranch in Daniel, Wyoming, and has long been active in conservation efforts. He has served on the boards of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the Jackson Hole Land Trust and has extensive advisory board experience. Healy attended Saint Anselm College and earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of International Management. He lives in Wilson, Wyoming. 

Mahoney serves as President of the  the WestWind Foundation, a private philanthropic organization that supports environmental and reproductive health initiatives around the world. Before joining WestWind, Mahoney held roles with Ridgeway Partners, the Hestia Fund, Sprint Services, and the Environmental Financial Consulting Group.

Mahoney also brings significant nonprofit governance experience, having served on the boards of The Vincent Memorial Hospital Foundation and MSI United States. She earned bachelor's degrees in marketing and French from Lehigh University, where she played Division I field hockey, and later completed a master’s degree in Global Health at Tufts University School of Medicine. Mahoney and her family live in Brookline, Massachusetts. 

Polhemus is President and Chief Executive Officer of Polhemus Savery DaSilva Architects Builders, an integrated architecture and construction firm serving coastal southeastern New England. Since joining the company after graduating from college, Polhemus held a series of leadership positions, including Project Manager, Director of Operations, and Chief Operating Officer before becoming President and CEO. 

Polhemus has also served on several Cape Cod nonprofit boards, including WE CAN (Women's Empowerment Through Cape Area Networking) and the Community Development Partnership. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and entrepreneurship from the University of Vermont. He and his wife, Courtney Birkins Polhemus ’01, and their family split their time between Vermont and Cape Cod.
