Kaelyn Carroll '25 Named to 2025 McDonald's All American Roster

"It's an honor to know you. It's an honor to coach you. You deserve this," Girls' Varsity Basketball coach Will Becker remarks, as Kaelyn (KK) Carroll '25 was presented with her official jersey for the 2025 McDonald's All American Games at a ceremony following Tabor's win over Governor's Academy on Wednesday, February 19.

Carroll is the first female athlete at Tabor to be named to the McDonald's All American roster.

The Games are considered the most prestigious honor in high school basketball. The final group of 24 girls and 24 boys were hand selected by a collection of the game's top analysts, prep scouts, media and coaches, from hundreds of potential players across the country.

According to her coaches, KK could not be more deserving of this honor, both as an athlete and as an individual.

"She's a 6'3" player who can score at all three levels, she's really developed a complete game," says Becker. "Her versatility is incredible."

Assistant Coaches Lydia Caputi '14 and Chris Conley comment on her positive energy and character.

"Watching KK play basketball is almost as fun as watching her interact with her teammates. Her future is bright because of her talent, but brighter because she is a high character person with a contagious energy and joy," notes Caputi.

"Coaching KK and serving as her dorm parent has allowed me to build a very special relationship with her. I have always believed that children are excellent judges of character, and my daughters light up every time they see her on campus. I will always be grateful for the kindness she has shown my children and deeply trust their instinctive admiration of her character," says Conley.

This year's 2025 McDonald's All American Games will take place at Barclays Center, in Brooklyn, NY. The girls' game will begin on Tuesday, April 1 at 6:30 PM and will air on ESPN2.

Carroll joins the Kentucky Wildcats in the fall.
