Tabor Summer Opportunities

While it is only February, our Summer Program staff is already being assembled, ready to provide an engaging and fun summer by the sea!  There are many opportunities to take advantage of and registration is now open, so don’t delay….get in on the action!

We have programs that meet many different needs and interests our camps have something for everyone. Our 6-week long Tabor Camp runs from June 28 - August 8 andoffers campers the option to come for one week or up to 6 weeks as day campers, or from 1 week to 3 weeks as residential campers, your choice. The program offers engaging optional enrichment courses along with fun activities in sports and arts. The best part is how you can mix things up so you can be as active or intellectual as you want. Campers aged 6 - 17 join in the fun each summer. For the older campers, we have a Leadership in Training program focusing on personal responsibility, leadership skills, and independence.

Beyond our traditional camp, we run a Marine Science Camp from July 26 - August 15 for those entering grades 8 - 12. Campers can come as day or boarding students for one, two, or three weeks. This is a budding marine scientists dream! Jump into the local waters to analyze the local conditions, design and complete a research project, and enjoy excursions for whale watching or visiting local professional labs in Woods Hole. We also build fun marine engineering projects. This is an opportunity to learn and engage with all the wonders of our regional ocean home from Marion to Cape Cod.

From July 8 - August 15, Tabor Gateways offers a residential pre-prep academic program for international students eager to learn more about American culture. English language learners from China and other international countries enjoy the option to come for a one to three-week long period. This is a chance to experience boarding school life on a seaside campus and an opportunity to perfect language skills in a relaxed environment full of fun activities along with trips to local attractions. Tabor faculty and college-aged counselors make up the staff of the Gateways Program.

Looking for sports? Check out our week-long camps. We have an Athletic Development Program run by our strength and conditioning coach, or our hockey, squash and lacrosse developmental camps run by our coaches.

Finally, students entering 5th - 9th grade will enjoy our one-week-long, half-day MakerCamp from June 22- 26. Design, build, hack and innovate in the Tabor MakerLab for one inspiring and fun-filled week with like-minded friends.
