A beautiful fall evening with young alumni at Tia’s is one Tabor tradition that tops the list!
Since the late 80’s Tabor’s alumni event season has kicked off with “Tabor at Tia’s.” Centrally located on the waterfront (of course) at the Marriott Long Wharf, Tia’s has seen decades of young Tabor alumni reconnect each fall and see who is new in town. It is a great night out for everyone, including the faculty.
Being just an hour from Boston allows faculty to join the throng at Tia’s, even on a school night! Rick DaSilva ’89 has been a regular attendee at Tia’s throughout the years – offering to drive a van load of faculty to the event. Reconnecting is the main reason the faculty enjoy attending every year. DaSilva said, “It is just so great to see everyone and how happy and well-adjusted they seem to be to life after Tabor and after college. It really blows my mind to hear some of the many cool opportunities they have already experienced. It is also so fun to see old friends come together and pick up right where they left off.”
If you are in the Boston area on September 19th and are looking for a guaranteed great evening, join your fellow Seawolves at Tia’s and become part of the tradition.
Students will have a sleep in while the faculty meets this morning. Day students are welcome to come at the usual time for breakfast, if they want. Classes will meet through the afternoon and there will be no co-curricular activities.
