On Sunday, June 9th, fourteen Tabor students and two chaperones traveled to France for a one-week trip.
For the past two years, Tabor French students have exchanged letters with high-schoolers at the Lycée Bréquigny in Rennes. The goal of the trip was to at last have the chance to connect with our pen-pals while also experiencing Paris and Normandy. We enjoyed a 24-hour home-stay with the French students and immediately agreed that next time we needed more time with them. The personal connection and the chance to practice language skills with peers was the highlight of the trip. The enjoyment we had meeting the French students is great motivation to continue to develop our partnership with the Lycée Bréquigny and to offer more trips to Francophone countries in the future. It was a grand adventure!
We will celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. during our Saturday School Day with an Emmy award-winning television producer, public speaker, and peace advocate, followed by small group discussions.
Please join John Quirk, Head of School and hosts Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pokoik '63 GP '23 for a cruising reception aboard the Marina Jack II 2 Marina Plaza Sarasota 2:00pm. - 4:00pm (boarding promptly at 1:45pm)
