A Day for Hobbies & Passions

As part of Tabor’s curriculum, we enjoy Saturday School Days about once a month throughout the school year. Often, we have guest speakers followed by break out groups and activities to debrief the speaker’s message. Everyone, students and faculty, participate in the Saturday School Day program, which has proven to be a special way to bring our community together to discuss various topics outside of the normal Monday through Friday school hours.
On April 13th, the Saturday School Day will look a little different than most however! The Tabor faculty is filled with well-rounded individuals known by the students for their specific jobs, but this Saturday, another dimension of our faculty will be revealed. One of our favorite offerings of the year, our faculty will have the chance to share a special hobby or passion with a small group of interested students. With 34 Seawolf Seminars on offer, students will certainly find something of interest.
There are seminars ranging from personal finance to comparative religions to grilling the perfect burger. Students sign up their top seminar choices and dive into a fun learning experience together. Senior Shemsa Adams is extremely excited to take advantage of a two-hour yoga class, something she would likely never do if it wasn’t offered to her here at Tabor.
With only a month and a half left in the school year, we hope this affords students a chance to bond with a group of people with a similar interest and perhaps make some new friends. Students at Tabor are always eager to branch out, and very rarely pass up the opportunity to interact with people they do not cross paths with often. We are very excited for this day and all the multitude of events planned sharing the talents and personalities of our incredible faculty!
