Congratulations to Sarah Guzman’22 for qualifying for the State Finals in the Massachusetts Poetry Out Loud competition! Sarah competed in the regional semi-finals last weekend and emerged as one of five individuals to move on to the State Finals.
Her recitations of El Ovido and Black Boys Play the Classics were outstanding, and she definitely wowed the judges, her competitors, and the audience! Sarah is one of only twenty-five students in the entire state to be competing for the title. The competition will take place next Sunday in Boston. Congratulations, Sarah: We will be rooting for you!
