News Detail

Athletes of the Week: February 19-25

Boys JV Squash: Jerry Wei
Over the course of his first season, Jerry Wei has shown a lot of improvement. Despite being on the lower rungs of the JV ladder, he fights for every point and has developed an effective backhand drive. Whenever there is an opportunity to play in a match, I know I can count on Jerry to volunteer. He is a good teammate and a very coachable player. He does not take himself too seriously on court. That said, he demonstrates a drive to improve, and I expect to see him move up the squash ladder in the coming years.
Girls JV Basketball: Lindsay Dawson
After having a difficult game against Thayer, Lindsay bounced back with two solid efforts. The Seawolves won both games over Governor’s and Rivers, as Lindsay did a great defensive job against Governor’s followed by a great offensive effort against Rivers. Lindsay personified the old adage “It is not what you did, but what you do next.” Congratulations to Lindsay and the team looks forward to Lindsay continuing to have a positive impact on the team.
