Athletes of the Week: January 21-27

Boys Varsity Basketball
Senior captain CJ Redd averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals in a 1-1 week for the Seawolves. His 16 points accounted for 37% of Tabor’s total offense in a lackluster team offensive performance Wednesday vs Rivers. On Saturday, he scored 13 in a blowout win vs Groton school. He set the tone defensively holding Groton’s all-league wing to just 8 points.

JV Girls Basketball-DEFENSE
On Saturday January 26, the Seawolves faced the Spartans of Lawrence Academy. Both team came into the game undefeated. The first half ended with Tabor leading only 21-15. The tight score was no surprise as two good teams were fighting the ISL lead. The second half, though, was where The Seawolves defense took control. Tabor held the Spartans to just a single point and held them to their point total (16) of the season! The Seawolves have grabbed the front spot in the pursuit of the ISL title, what would be their second straight.

With the persistence of environmental change, people across the world are experimenting daily with different adaptive methods on the ground. With support from National Geographic and The Redford Center, filmmaker Alizé Carrère has been documenting innovative human adaptations in places such as Madagascar, Bangladesh, Vanuatu, Norway and the United States. From floating farms in Bangladesh to ice pyramids in the Himalayas, these stories reveal incredible ingenuity and resourcefulness in the face of environmental adversity.
