Christine Steege - Girls' Varsity Hockey
Junior Goalie Christine Steege and the girls’ varsity hockey team continue to make life difficult for Tabor’s opposition. Steege led the Seawolves to another two victories last week, a 7-3 road victory over ISL foe Brooks and a big shutout on the road, stopping every shot that came her way against New Hampton on Saturday. The Seawolves currently sit at the top of the standings at 10-0-1. Steege has anchored a defensive squad that is giving up around 1 goal per game. With her calm presence and demeanor in the net, Christine is a steadying force in the defensive zone for Tabor. Christine and the rest of the team look to keep their momentum rolling with two games this week against Thayer and Loomis.
With the persistence of environmental change, people across the world are experimenting daily with different adaptive methods on the ground. With support from National Geographic and The Redford Center, filmmaker Alizé Carrère has been documenting innovative human adaptations in places such as Madagascar, Bangladesh, Vanuatu, Norway and the United States. From floating farms in Bangladesh to ice pyramids in the Himalayas, these stories reveal incredible ingenuity and resourcefulness in the face of environmental adversity. Alizé shares her experiences from the field looking at these unique examples of human adaptation, reminding us of the most important trait that has allowed for our continued survival on earth.
