It is a great time of year for many Tabor athletes because it is Winter Tournament time! Our Boys’ and Girls’ Hockey and Basketball teams all compete in the coming weeks.
For over 30 years now the boys’ hockey team has been competing at the Avon “Christmas Classic” every year. And, the girls’ ice hockey team, 2018 ISL champs, has their own tradition of traveling to Taft’s Patsy Odden Tournament. On January 1st and 2nd, Tabor will host the 25th Annual Joshua Weeks Hockey Tournament where our players’ hockey skills are put to the test against Kents Hill. Let’s fill the tank with Seawolf Superfans!
In basketball, Tabor’s coach Will Becker takes his talented girls' basketball team (also 2018 ISL champs) to the Nickerson Tournament at the Noble and Greenough School where the top girls prep teams compete every December. Boys' basketball coach Chris Millette worked together with Phillips Exeter coach to establish the Seacoast Classic which now includes teams from Tabor, Trinity Pawling, St. Sebastian’s, and involves a dozen elite Boys' Class A basketball teams. The basketball team will be in action at home on Friday, Dec. 14th and Saturday, Dec. 15th.
Each of these teams are super competitive and fun to watch. So, be sure to keep up with all the action happening around New England this month: check out our tournament webpage here to see a schedule of all the games.
We hope to see you during this exciting winter season cheering on the Seawolves!
