Rick Archer ’68

Sixteen years ago I started a YouTube channel and podcast entitled “Buddha at the Gas Pump” through which I publish “conversations with spiritually awakening people.” (batgap.com). I have conducted nearly 750 interviews to date. The show has grown to 115,000 YouTube subscribers with over 22 million views and over 10 million audio podcast downloads. In collaboration with colleagues at awakin.ai I have created a spiritual AI chat bot (batgap.com/batgapspiritual-ai-bot). Its data corpus contains transcripts of all my interviews, 1,700+ sacred texts, plus over a hundred thousand transcripts of relevant videos. Additionally, in 2018, I co-founded the Association for Spiritual Integrity (spiritual-integrity.org). Its vision is to support the growth and development of spiritual leaders and their communities by fostering integrity, compassion, and accountability. We have spoken at Harvard Divinity School, The Parliament of World Religions, the Science and Nonduality Conference, and other venues.
