Lucien C. Smith, a Brooklyn native, embodies a rich fusion of artistry, education, and leadership. Smith’s musical style spans Blues, Jazz, Funk, Rock, and Reggae. His influences—ranging from Jimi Hendrix and Grant Green to the Three Kings—are woven into his dynamic sound. He has played and recorded with Mingo Lewis (Santana), Sean Pelton (Ray Charles, B.B. King) in venues across the U.S. and Caribbean.

Beyond music, Smith serves as a project director for CITE (Computing Integrated Teacher Education) preparing educators to equitably integrate computing and digital literacies within the School of Education at Lehman College, City University of New York. He recruits and supports aspiring teachers for the NYC Department of Education. Smith also teaches as an adjunct professor and contributes to initiatives on mental health, freshman engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
