Heather McRae Tabisola '01

Heather McRae Tabisola was honored with the NOAA Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) Team Members of the Year Award (an award for non-federal employees) for Outreach & Education in December 2024. The award recognizes her outstanding outreach efforts in support of students and the public, as well as her professionalism and excellence in showcasing the relevance and impact of NOAA’s and PMEL’s science and mission. Heather celebrated this achievement with fellow classmate, honorary guest Debora Harmsen ’01 at the OAR Awards All-Hands Ceremony in Silver Spring, MD. This milestone comes as Heather celebrates 10 years, as of February 2025, with the NOAA Cooperative Institute (CICOES) / NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory and Alaska Fisheries Science Center in Seattle, WA.
