CHARLIE BARMONDE ’94

I am currently living in Tiverton, RI with my wife Aiden FitzGerald, our three kids Felix (13), Denzel (8) and Iola (4) and our new puppy Mochi (16 weeks). I am still sailing catamarans whenever I can and still making pottery at my studio and gallery Arch Contemporary Ceramics, where I have recently been very excited to represent a fellow Seawolf, the amazingly talented Nicole McLaughlin ’16. For the last decade I have been serving as a Director of the E.W. Scripps Company, helping to guide the concern into the future of journalism.

Most recently I was also appointed to the board of the New Bedford Light, an online not for profit news group that is covering the issues that most affect New Bedford and the adjacent south coast region. I would encourage you to check it out! We are doing some great work for this community. I am still in frequent contact with many of my best friends from Tabor, they are still the best friends that I have. I intend to make an honest effort to be at our 30th (gasp!) class reunion in 2024. See you there.
