In 2022, Performing Arts Coordinator Jesse Hawley announced that Tabor would be forming a chapter of the International Thespian Society, a 93-year-old organization with over 5,000 member schools across the world, whose purpose is to “honor demonstrated commitment and excellence in theater at the high school level.”
Hawley, a member of her own high school chapter, inducted fifteen students into the International Thespian Society at All School Meeting on September 28, 2023. Each of these students has completed a minimum of 100 hours with Tabor Performing Arts, either in classes—like Acting, Lighting Design, or Script Writing—or through stage productions—like Fall Drama, Winter Musical, Winter Drama, or Spring One Acts. Some members have completed upwards of 600 hours.
