Annual Report on Giving

Dear Friends,

Since beginning as Director of Advancement at Tabor Academy in March, I have worked tirelessly to immerse myself in the community in which I was joining. That began rather immediately, as on my fifth day in this role, we celebrated the opening of the Travis Roy Campus Center, our newest transformative space on campus. In fact, the highlight of those first few days was holding one of the doors open to the Center, immediately following the ribbon cutting, as students entered the space for the first time. Watching their expressions of pure shock and excitement and hearing their positive proclamations as they ran to their new favorite spaces for the first time, it was a great introduction to who we are as a community.

In my time at Tabor, I have been impressed by the authenticity of what it means to be a part of this community. On campus, between sitting with students at lunch or observing classes, watching sporting events and musical performances, there is a positive energy. Off campus, as I have had the chance to meet a number of parents, alumni, past parents, past faculty and staff, and other members of our extended community, there is a positive energy. That authenticity is part of what had me excited about joining this community and that authenticity was demonstrated through meaningful philanthropic support this year.

Reflecting on the contributions over this past year, I am filled with pride and appreciation. Members of the Tabor community gave $11,888,282 across all fund priorities, representing an increase of 23% over last year and is one of the largest giving years in Tabor’s history.

Whether your giving was unrestricted to the Fund for Tabor, targeted for capital enhancements or specific programs through restricted giving, or to the endowment as Tabor focuses on growing this important aspect of our budget, your support had such a meaningful impact on our year and the years to come.
