Annual Report on Philanthropy

Dear Friends,

When I first began at Tabor Academy in 2023, several people shared with me how special the sunsets here are in Marion. The “Sippican glow”—that last hour or so before the sun sets over Wickenden Chapel and Duffy Fields, and the entirety of Sippican Harbor and Tabor’s campus glows with a light that cannot be accurately described or captured in a photo. This has been a reflective point for me each day, in the backyard of Daggett House (sometimes joined by my wife, two kids, and two dogs; other times joined by colleagues or students who may be happening to walk by).

My reflections during the summer were often centered on the previous school year, and what a year it was for our community. In addition to the myriad successes of our students, I am grateful for your contributions that made this year a success. Highlights from the 2023-2024 fundraising year include:

  • $3,080,750 in gifts made to the Fund for Tabor, the largest amount of annual giving support ever received by Tabor. These gifts impact all aspects of Tabor’s program and are a vital piece of our budget.

  • 1,427 donors to our annual Day of Giving, the largest number of donors Tabor has ever had during #TaborTime, which unites our alumni, family, faculty and staff, student, and trustee communities in supporting Tabor.

Overall, nearly $11,500,000 of support was given to Tabor for unrestricted need, restricted programmatic need, endowment growth, and capital projects, once again making this one of our largest years of philanthropic support.

Gifts to Tabor supporting any of our philanthropic priorities help bring Tabor’s mission to life every day. If it has been a while since you have been on campus, I invite you to visit and see the energy and enthusiasm that is Tabor today. Our students are thriving because of your support.

We are appreciative of you and the impact you have on Seawolf Nation! Thank you.

With sincere gratitude,

Stephen Ginter
