Alumni Connections: Colby Morgan '09
- Alumni
As an alum, I am motivated to serve Tabor to ensure that more students can experience this extraordinary community every year, particularly as independent school education becomes less and less affordable.
I have been a member of the Tabor Alumni Council (TAC) since January 2022, and recently stepped into the President role. If you’re not familiar with the group, TAC strives to predictably increase alumni engagement with Tabor every year. I was compelled to take on a leadership position since I believe that organizations like TAC need to continue to evolve to support the ever-changing landscape of independent schools—and I’m up for the challenge. I’m excited to bring the group into its next chapter as a forward leaning, sustainable organization within the Tabor community.
My goals for TAC this year are to:
• Increase overall engagement by building broad awareness of TAC.
• Establish an achievable metric for TAC engagement efforts and measuring success.
• Plan an on-campus TAC event that coincides with Tabor Day this fall.
Bonus points: we will begin work this year on a sustainability initiative, ensuring that TAC remains strong for many years to come.
We are looking for any Tabor alum to jump in and join TAC. We meet quarterly, and the executive committee meets monthly. It is very easy to be involved! Additionally, we are looking to fill some strategic leadership spots on our executive committee. Please reach out to me (colbyemorgan@gmail.com) if you’re interested in learning more about these roles in particular.
