An idyllic setting with stunning water views, Tabor Academy has been a popular wedding and special event destination for many years, not only for alumni who have called Tabor home during their formative years, but also for those in the surrounding community.

Whether it is holding a large wedding in the non-denominational Wickenden Chapel and a reception on the waterfront under a tent or holding a small and intimate gathering overlooking Buzzards Bay at Hoyt Hall or Lillard Hall, Tabor has a venue to meet your needs. Quality catering is available through Tabor Academy’s Dining Services ensuring that any special event or wedding held at Tabor Academy is sure to be a once in a lifetime experience. If you desire to work with outside vendors for additional services, we will help coordinate to make sure the experience goes smoothly.

We have numerous facilities to accommodate groups of all sizes. From large conference rooms with sound systems and projectors to small break out rooms, we have the spaces to fill your needs.

Lyndon South Auditorium

Located in the Stroud Academic Center, this large stadium seating room can accommodate 180 people, and is equipped with projectors and sound systems. 

Hoyt Hall

For those who need more space or prefer to meet closer to our waterfront, there's Hoyt Hall, which houses the Fireman Performing Arts Center, a massive 650 capacity auditorium with lights, and A/V equipment. This building also has a smaller conference room that can accommodate 20 participants, and water views for luncheon or evening parties. In addition, there are a number of small break-out rooms.

The Fireman Center for the Performing Arts ranks among the finest at New England secondary schools. The building contains a 650-seat auditorium well suited for concerts (with orchestra pit), a state-of-the-art sound board and computerized light board, and a fully equipped scenery shop. The Fireman Center also houses seven music practice rooms with pianos, two large classrooms, spaces for music theory classes, and two large ensemble rooms.

Will Parker '04 Black Box Theater

The Black Box Theater (seating 70) provide more intimate performance spaces that are regularly utilized for smaller chamber and theatrical performances. 

Arts Spaces

Need a place to explore your artistic abilities? The Braitmayer Art Center houses two studios. The Ceramics Studio is equipped with electric potters’ wheels, indoor kilns, Raku kilns, a slab roller, pug mill extruder, and state of the art glaze lab. The Fine Arts Studio has areas for painting, sculpture, drawing, and printmaking.

Athletics Spaces

The Fish Center for Health & Athletics includes a hardwood parquet basketball surface and three artificial turf fields spanning eight acres, along with 5 additional outdoor playing fields.

Tabor Academy boasts three multipurpose indoor courts, the Travis Roy Ice Rink in the Howard Johnson Arena, the Gowing Outdoor Track, seven tennis courts, squash courts, a wrestling room, and an indoor rowing tank. The Boat House, located on the waterfront, serves as the launching point for sailing and crew.

The Tabor Academy arts and athletics facilities may be rented for a number of individual and group activities, and can be reserved for camps, tournaments, practices, and other events.
