Pete Aronson is a leading entertainment executive, producer, and writer of award-winning content, who currently serves as the Head of Development and Production for J30 Studios. Until 2020 he was Executive Vice President at AMC Networks, overseeing all aspects of IFC’s Emmy award-winning programming, including Portlandia, Documentary Now!, Sherman’s Showcase, Brockmire, Year of the Rabbit, Maron, and The Film Independent Spirit Awards. Aronson came to AMC with a highly successful track record leading TV, film and digital content production, and development for entertainment companies including Disney, Fox, NBCUniversal, Paramount, and Warner Brothers.

Prior to his six years at AMC Networks, he partnered with other leading media executives from television, film, and talent management to launch Generate which was acquired by Zelnick Media Capital in 2012. 

Aronson also served as President of Regency Television, a 50/50 joint venture between Arnon Milchan's New Regency Enterprises and Fox. While at Regency, he developed and/or supervised the production of numerous one-hour drama and half-hour comedy series including Malcolm in the Middle, Roswell, The Education of Max Bickford, UC: Undercover, John Doe, and The Bernie Mac Show while being responsible for a $40 million yearly operating, production, and development budget. 

After working in feature films at Warner Bros. as President of Witt-Thomas Films, Aronson was Executive Vice President of Walt Disney Television, leading development and production of drama and comedy series including Aaron Sorkin's Sports Night, J.J. Abrams’ first television series Felicity, Jerry Bruckheimer's first television series Dangerous Minds, Eddie Murphy’s The PJ's, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Boy Meets World, Ellen, and Home Improvement.

Early in his career, he began writing for television and as a WGA member he has often returned to these roots by alternating independent producer deals with executive positions. He was an Executive Producer and head writer for three seasons of the award-winning Fox Broadcasting series The Bernie Mac Show, for which he received two NAACP Image awards, a Humanitas Award, and a BET award.
