Thomas "Tommy" Masaschi '88, a native of Buzzards Bay, MA, was an outstanding three sport varsity athlete in football, hockey and lacrosse. In 1984, Tommy came to Tabor Academy as a freshman and immediately secured his spot on the varsity hockey and lacrosse teams. As a sophomore, Tommy was selected to the the varsity football team and in his senior year, he was named captain of the football, hockey, and lacrosse teams. That year, the 1988 Hockey team won the New England Championship with Tommy leading the strong scoring attack. Tommy truly shined on the lacrosse field as his offensive presence was key to many team victories. In the spring of 1988, Tommy's leadership, hard work, and relentless drive led the team to secure the Pilgrim League Championship and earned him selection as an All-American.

After Tabor, Tommy attended Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where he continued his athletic career in both hockey and lacrosse. In lacrosse, Tommy was a two-year captain, recorded 123 career points (80 goals, 43 assists) and led the team to appear in the 1990 NCAA Tournament. He is the single season leader in ground balls, with 168 in 1991 and is currently fourth all-time at the institute with 386. In 1990 and 1991, Tommy was selected to the second team All-American and earned third team accolades in 1992. On the ice, Tommy shined as well, recording 132 career points (48 goals and 84 assists) in 116 games, leading the RIT Tigers to an ECAC West title and NCAA Championship game appearance in 1989. He served as assistant captain during the 1990-91 season and as captain his senior year. Tommy led his team to a 74-41-8 record and earned All-ECAC West second team honors in 1992.

Tommy lives in Rochester, NY, with his wife of 21 years, Kara, and their two sons, Luke and Will.
