Sarah Feldman Burns '04 was a three-sport varsity athlete at Tabor Academy in hockey, softball, and soccer. She was captain of the hockey team in her junior year and captain of the soccer, hockey, and softball teams her senior year. During her Tabor hockey career, Sarah amassed 168 points (84 goals and 84 assists) and was selected to the USA National Development Camp in 2003 and 2004. While representing Tabor, she was a finalist for the NHL's Boston Bruins' John Carlton Award, given to a senior who combines exceptional hockey skills with academic excellence. In 2003, Sarah helped the soccer team reach the NEPSAC Championship game before falling in a 1-0 heart-breaker. On the softball field, Sarah played virtually every position, including pitcher and catcher. Sarah's sense of community and leadership extended off the playing fields as she was a dorm proctor and secretary of her sophomore class. Sarah's exceptional hockey talents and academic excellence earned her a full athletic scholarship at Boston College where she continued to excel.

At Boston College while pursuing a degree in Education, Sarah received Hockey East (HE) Conference All-Academic Honors and the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement. On the ice, she helped her team win their first Beanpot Tournament, and reach a Hockey East final. Her sophomore year, she recorded a team-best record with 18 assists. As a transfer student her junior year to Providence College, Sarah helped lead her team to two HE finals while earning assistant captain honors her senior year.

After college, Sarah continued her hockey career playing for the Burlington Barracudas of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. She returned to the U.S. to serve as Head Coach of the Boston Shamrock's Women's U19 Junior team, as well as coaching numerous tournaments, camps, and clinics, including Tabor's summer hockey camp. Today, Sarah is an elementary school health teacher in the New Bedford Public School system and is pursuing her master's in Early Childhood Education. She lives in Bourne with her husband and Tabor sweetheart, John '04, and their son, Tanner.
