Jennifer Sherbrooke Palmer ’86 was a three-sport varsity athlete at Tabor Academy earning 11 varsity letters in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. She was a leader for Tabor athletics, serving as captain for the 1986 basketball and lacrosse teams. Throughout her four years at Tabor, Jennifer’s athletic achievements represented only a fraction of her contributions to the Tabor community as a whole. Jennifer was the embodiment of a Tabor student athlete with her commitment to sportsmanship, leadership, and academics. She was a four year member of the Student Activities Committee, serving as co-chair her senior year. She also mentored young students as a dorm proctor and shared her love for Tabor by providing tours to prospective students and their parents.

After Tabor, Jennifer attended Denison University where she was a three-year letter winner for the Denison field hockey team (1986, 1987, and 1989) and a four-time letter winner in women’s lacrosse (1987-1990). In 1994, she was honored as a member of the NCAC 10th Anniversary Team in women’s lacrosse.

Jennifer has continued to share her love for athletics, coaching Cohasset youth lacrosse for the past 17 years. She is also the head JV lacrosse coach and assistant varsity lacrosse coach for Cohasset High School, which won the 2017 Massachusetts State Championship. Jennifer lives in Cohasset, MA, with her husband Lansing and children, Becca and Will.
