How do I apply to Tabor?

  • Step 1: Inquire

    The first step of the application process is to complete the Tabor Inquiry Form.
  • Step 2: Login to MyTA Portal (parents only)

    We provide parents login information so they can monitor the progress of their student’s admissions process. Click here to begin login process.
  • Step 3: Schedule Interview & Visit

    Starting in September, tours and Interviews will be available Monday-Friday. Please self-schedule using your MyTA portal; log in using the credentials provided and navigate to the Admissions Progress tab.
    Note: Students from Mainland China must do an initial interview through Vericant.
  • Step 4: Testing

    The SSAT is required for Fall 2023 applicants to Tabor. To learn more about SSAT testing options, or to register for the test, please visit the SSAT website.

    Students who have taken the PSAT, SAT or ACT may submit those scores via email to

    Non-native speaking applicants must still submit TOEFL scores, regardless of whether or not they opt to take the SSAT. We also accept Duolingo.

  • Step 5: The SAO Application

    Tabor uses SSAT’s Standard Application Online (SAO) as our singular application.

    Please note, you must visit the SSAT site and create a Web Login ID in order to complete an SAO for Tabor Academy.

    If you have technical issues using the SAO site, please contact SAO directly. Their support line is 609-683-4440, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, or email

    • Please follow the instructions provided within the SAO portal for submitting your materials.
    • Your application is forwarded to Tabor once you have paid the application fee.
    • Please allow 48 hours for the processing of items submitted through the SAO; you can track the progress via your checklist on the MyTA portal.

  • Step 6: The Tabor Academy Application Checklist

    A complete Tabor application includes:
    • SAO Application (
    • Interview* (can schedule before application is complete)
    • SSAT or comparable testing scores
    • TOEFL or Duolingo for non-native English speakers
    *You may self-schedule your interview within the MyTA portal, and also track the progress of your application here.
  • Step 7: Receive Notification of Completion

    Once your application is complete, you will receive an official notification from the admissions office via email. You do not need to contact the office to check the status of your application. During peak admissions season, it may take one to two weeks to process admissions materials once they are submitted; however your materials are officially logged as of the date received. Thank you for your patience.
