  • Step 4: Testing (Optional for 2021-22)

While normally, standardized tests are part of the application process, due to COVID-19, scores are optional for those applying for Fall 2021.

If you wish to submit your scores, here is what you need to know. Those who opt to take the SSAT can register here. Students who are applying for the 11th grade or higher may submit either PSAT or SAT scores in lieu of the SSAT.

Non-native speaking applicants must still submit TOEFL scores, regardless of whether or not they opt to take the SSAT.

For those submitting scores, here are the appropriate test codes for Tabor Academy, to use when you register to ensure that we receive your scores:

    SSAT: 7594
    TOEFL: 8062
SAT/ACT/PSAT: If you are submitting these scores, please have your school counselor add your scores to your transcript or send us a copy of your official score report at
  • Step 5: The Application

Tabor uses SSAT’s Standard Application Online (SAO) as our singular application.

Please note, regardless of whether or not you take the SSAT, you still have to go to the SSAT site and create a Web Login ID in order to complete an application to Tabor Academy.

If you have technical issues using the SAO site, please contact SAO directly; not Tabor Academy. Their support line is 609-683-4440, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, or email

    • Please follow the instructions provided within the SAO portal for submitting your materials.
    • Your application is forwarded to Tabor once you have paid the application fee.
    • Please allow 48 hours for the processing of items submitted through the SAO; you can track the progress via your checklist on the MyTA portal.
