Tabor Pathways

Explore broadly. Go deeper. Make connections.

At Tabor, students don’t have to arrive knowing exactly where their interests will lead. They have the freedom to explore and, when they discover something that matters to them, the opportunity to pursue it with greater depth and purpose.

Through Tabor Pathways, students can connect their academic interests with experiences across campus and beyond, creating a more intentional journey through Ocean Exploration, Global Education, or Leadership.

Three Pathways. Countless Possibilities.

Each Pathway gives students a framework for exploring a broad area of interest while making connections between what they learn, what they experience, and where their curiosity takes them.

Ocean Exploration

Let the coast expand your classroom.

Explore the connections between the ocean, our environment, and the world through coursework and experiences at Tabor and beyond.

Global Education

Connect your learning to a bigger world.

Explore cultures, perspectives, and global issues while connecting what you learn at Tabor to experiences around the world.

Leadership

Find your way to lead.

Explore leadership through service, collaboration, and real responsibility while discovering how you can contribute and create positive change.

How Pathways Work

Make Your Interests Your Own

Pathways are designed to add focus without limiting exploration. Students have time to discover what interests them before choosing whether to pursue a Pathway. From there, they make intentional connections among their academic work, experiences at Tabor, and opportunities beyond campus.

01 — Explore

Discover what interests you.

Students begin by exploring broadly across Tabor’s academic program and the many experiences available beyond the classroom.

02 — Choose

Decide where you want to go deeper.

Students who choose to pursue a Pathway express their interest before the end of sophomore year, identifying Ocean Exploration, Global Education, or Leadership as an area they want to explore more intentionally.

03 — Connect

Build your own roadmap.

Students connect relevant coursework with co-curricular and extracurricular experiences and opportunities beyond Tabor, creating a Pathway shaped by their individual interests.

04 — Bring It Together

Share where your learning has taken you.

Each Pathway culminates in a project, presentation, or portfolio that brings together the student’s experiences, learning, and growth.

Pathways are voluntary. Students can choose whether a Pathway is right for them while continuing to explore the full breadth of the Tabor experience.

Shape Your Tabor Story

Your Interests Don’t Have to Fit in One Box

One of the strengths of a Tabor education is the freedom to explore broadly while going deeper in an area that matters to you. Pathways bring together experiences that might otherwise seem separate, connecting academic coursework with co-curricular and extracurricular activities and opportunities beyond Tabor.

The result is a more intentional journey shaped by each student's interests, experiences, and goals.

Go Deeper, Together

Following an interest doesn’t mean following it alone. Pathways bring together students who share similar interests and experiences, creating smaller communities for connection, conversation, collaboration, and discovery.

Students can pursue experiences that are distinctly their own while learning alongside others who are exploring some of the same questions.
