Meditation as a Mindful Tool: Morning Mindfulness Recap

Today we were introduced to secular meditation. We learned what meditation is, how meditation has been a traditional part of world religions, and why people choose to meditate as a mindfulness practice. We started with a simple body and mind scan to explore how meditating can help us stay centered and grounded in any circumstances. After reflecting in our journals on how we felt after the session, we made bead bracelets and jigsaw puzzles to stay in a space of mindful awareness.
