Apply to Tabor

How do I apply to Tabor?

We hope that this page will help guide you through our application process. Should you need assistance or have any questions, please contact the admissions office.

Step 1: Inquire

Applicants may inquire on our website (Tabor Inquiry Form) or by calling our office at 508.291.8300.

Step 2: Testing

Standardized tests are part of the application process. Most applicants will take the SSAT and can register here. Students who are applying for the 11th grade or higher may submit either PSAT or SAT scores in lieu of the SSAT. Non-native speaking applicants must also submit TOEFL scores in addition to the SSAT. Please note, regardless of which testing you plan to submit, you will still have to go to the SSAT site and create a Web Login ID in order to complete the application.

Please enter the appropriate test codes for Tabor Academy when you register to ensure that we receive your scores:

SSAT: 7594
TOEFL: 8062
SAT/ACT/PSAT: Because we are a secondary school, Tabor Academy does not have a code for these tests. Please have your school counselor add your scores to your transcript or send us a copy of your official score report at

Step 3: Interview

The interview is a required step in the application process. We conduct interviews Monday through Friday. Please schedule your interview by calling us at 508.291.8300 at least three weeks in advance to secure the date and time of your choice. We encourage all applicants to interview on campus. If visiting campus is impossible for a student, we will conduct interviews by phone or SKYPE. Note: Students from Mainland China must do an initial interview through Vericant.

Step 4: The Application

Tabor uses SSAT’s Standard Application Online (SAO) as our singular application. Applicants must register at SSAT in order to create a Web Login ID. Please follow the instructions provided for submitting testing, teacher recommendations, and essays. Your application is forwarded to Tabor once you have paid the application fee. Schools that use their own recommendation forms or use letters of recommendation must send these directly to Tabor and not to SSAT.

NOTE: Artists and musicians wishing to share (optional) supplemental materials are welcome to do so via Dropbox. Click here for more information.

Step 5: Revisit Opportunities for Accepted Students

Once admission decisions have been communicated on March 10, accepted students are invited to Revisit Tabor on April 2, 4 or 5 as part of a formal day-long program. These informative days are designed for those who are decided or still deciding. We hope you will make note of these dates.
