The 6 & 7 Year Old Program is designed to offer a wide variety of activities so your children will have fun while they are guided by our well trained and energetic staff. Your child will also meet other youngsters from Marion and the surrounding communities and, of course, make new friends.
The day begins at 8:20 AM when you drop off your child at the Tabor Oval flagpole and you are met by the team of counselors that will lead your children throughout the morning and into the early afternoon. After meeting and greeting one another on the first day, they are off to play sports on one of Tabor's fields. Fun and teamwork are the primary goals as children learn the basics of different sports activities.
After releasing their energy on the fields, they move inside into the comfort of our air conditioned space, and the group is off to either Spanish or drama. With a chance to learn a little Espaņol in a creative way and then "hamming" it up with drama, your child will be exposed to new experiences.
Once more into the sun, your child shifts into organized game time with activities like kickball and Red Rover to experience the exuberance of summer.
After all the activity, it is lunchtime, and the students will enjoy lunch at Tabor's dining hall while they chit chat about the busy morning. Your child completes their day with a fun crafts period before pick up at 1:00.
