Due to our ideal location on the western shore of Sippican Harbor, a part of Buzzards Bay, our largest and most popular program activity is sailing. The Tabor boat fleet includes Capris, Optis, Lasers, and 420s. Throughout the summer, classes are offered for beginner, intermediate, and advanced sailors. The sailing program is carefully supervised and each child is required to meet certain swimming standards before they can fully participate. By the end of the summer, your child will have working knowledge of the different parts of the boats, how to maneuver in open water, and should be able to tie at least three sailing knots!
If you have decided that you would like your child to have a summer sailing experience at Tabor, and would like to sign up for sailing, please do so as soon as possible, as sailing slots fill up quickly!
