The Tabor Summer Art Program offers drawing, printmaking, soft sculpture, painting, and collage. All skill levels are accommodated. Our multi-talented staff challenges children to explore all media and to create a visual object according to his or her ability. While we spend most of the time working in groups, each child has the opportunity to work independently. Some children choose 3-dimensional projects in wood, fabric, and found objects; others want to explore outdoor sketching and painting or prefer the studio setting for still life and portrait painting. In addition, some classes integrate with the oceanography group to create authentic fish prints and inspirational sea designs.

After approximately three weeks, the studio is full of fabulous works that are put on display in the now-famous CLARPH exhibit – featuring clay, art, photography, and crafts projects. The children LOVE this show and work very hard to submit as many items as possible. It is truly a highlight of the summer art program.
