Grades 3-7:
The Arithmetic program attempts to meet the individual student needs. For all students, the development of problem-solving techniques, using available technology (computers and graphing calculators) is a desired outcome. Specific topics such as fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, probability, geometry, and the introduction of the variable are covered. The expectation for most students is that their view of the subject will be widened and enriched by "doing" mathematics rather than being a spectator.
