Tabor Academy Parents
Minutes of Meeting
November 10, 2007
The third Tabor Academy Parent Meeting began with a power point presentation by Dick Muther, who, along with Kelly Walker, discussed the myriad aspects of the after class athletic program and the commitment and challenges it poses. Phil Sanborn and David Horne described music opportunities available to students during the academic day, as well as the after school music program. Bob Moglinicki shared insight on the Visual Arts programs that also occur throughout the class day and how important the after school aspect is to allow students longer blocks of time to work on projects. Mark Howland’s description of the Drama Program and the assorted choices for involvement from sound, lighting, set design and acting was extensive and informative. Students have after school drama opportunities all three seasons in the Black Box Theatre and in the February Winter Musical. Kerry Saltonstall and Merry Conway spoke about the varied Tabor communication pieces that go out via mail or e-mail. Will O’Leary and Elizabeth Soule shared their work on the yearbook and community service projects, respectively.
