** There will be a few opportunities to visit a restaurant or shops. Food and tourist retail items are EXTREMELY expensive. The amount you bring is left to your discretion. Please be aware that there is no security aboard the vessel for large amounts of cash and amounts greater than $150 or so are discouraged.
All students will need a mask/snorkel/fin set and a “shorty” wet suit. We highly recommend that you purchase equipment through the school because of the significant cost reduction. Tabor Academy works in close association with a local dive shop to ensure the equipment is of good quality and proper fit. If you already own equipment, or would like to purchase equipment separately from the school, we reserve the right to evaluate your equipment to ensure it meets minimum safety and utility for our research.
