Tabor’s International Students bring a unique vitality and a diversity of language, culture, and perspective to all walks of school life. In 2007-08 seventy-five International Students from eighteen countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia live at Tabor and enrich its academic, social, and co-curricular dimensions. The International input given to Tabor by students from other countries and continent is not a one-way exchange. American students at Tabor sign up in large numbers for vacation journeys trips to Asia, Europe, and the Americas, as well as for Tabor Boy trips to the Caribbean. And in countless exchanges between roommates, on vacation home stays, and in the daily life of the school, American and International students and faculty at Tabor each year take part in a dynamic process of learning and growth from other cultures. International friendship and connection requires friendliness, tolerance, and outreach, and Tabor international community benefits and contributes to those qualities.

The Center for International Students, located at the Center of our Academic Building, provides support at all levels for Tabor’s international students. From obtaining visas to college planning, from scheduling vacation transportation to building friendships and adjusting to a new language and culture, the Center’s two faculty and twenty-five more volunteer faculty Global Partners work in many ways to integrate International Students fully and communicate frequently with parents.

This is an exciting time of growth and exploration for International Students and programs at Tabor. We hope to continue the growth and successes of our International Students, as well as to expand the reach of our American students’ connections to the world. Tabor's aim is for every graduate to be a successful global citizen in the decades ahead.
