Department Faculty

Seven nautical science courses are offered.  Satisfactory completion of any two nautical science courses entitles a Tabor graduate to a Naval Honor Certificate, recognized by the United States Armed Forces as part of the candidate’s permanent record, and qualifying him/her for the school’s nomination to a Federal Service Academy.

Tabor also offers Marine Science courses at the introductory and advanced level. Although these offerings are taught within the Science Department, are uniquely tied to the sea.  The interdisciplinary nature of Marine Science integrates the disciplines of chemistry, biology, physics, geology and astronomy in a manner that allows students to see connections. overlap and synergy.

Considered together, the offerings in Naval Science and Marine Science are unique to Tabor and reflect the school's desire to take fullest possible advantage of its seaside location as an educational resource.
