Welcome to Tabor Academy
Tabor's web site aims to give you a real picture of Tabor in Marion, Massachusetts, as well as a sense of our school's spirit, to help you decide if you will pursue an application. Nothing substitutes for a visit to our campus, but we hope this site brings Tabor to life, particularly for those of you who live at a distance from the school.
Every year students come to Tabor from across the country and around the world. Our students come from Japan, from China, from Korea, from Taiwan, from Russia, from India, from England and Italy, and from Bermuda and Canada, as well as from Massachusetts and Alaska and Illinois. Teenagers from twenty-five states and fifteen countries make up our student body of 350 boarders and 140 day students. We are proud of the rich diversity of our student community, of the variety of cultural traditions and religious beliefs among our students, and of the commitment and acceptance that characterize Tabor kids.
Tabor Academy is an exceptional community, distinguished by genuine friendliness, astonishing creativity, and a truly stunning breadth of academic courses, extra-curricular activities, athletic programs, and artistic endeavors. This web site introduces all of these unique opportunities to you. We try to answer "frequently asked questions" and to SHOW you what happens here. If you have questions or wish to talk with us, please do e-mail us (admissions@taboracademy.org) or give us a call in the Admissions Office. WELCOME TO TABOR!

Name: Chris Hall
Hometown: Sandwich, MA
Former
school: Oak Ridge
Elementary School
Why I
came to Tabor: First and
foremost, because I grew up on Cape Cod, Tabor’s excellent waterfront location
was a huge draw for me. However, it was really all of the exciting new
opportunities that I could pursue at Tabor. Additionally, the small class sizes
and the strong community greatly influenced my decision.
Leadership
positions: Head Tour
Guide
After
school activities: Football,
Ceramics, Model United Nations, and Crew
Clubs: Cricket Club, Dodgeball Club, “The
Office” Club, The Cleveland Leadership Program
Courses
last year: A.P. English
Language, Precalculus Honors, Physics Honors, A.P. United States History,
Anatomy and Physiology, Spanish 4 Honors
Courses
this year: A.P. English
Literature, Calculus BC, A.P. Physics C, A.P. Chemistry, American Government,
Constitutional Law, Spanish 5 Honors
Favorite thing about Tabor: The waterfront location and strong
sense of community
Favorite
class and why: My favorite
class so far has been Geometry Honors with Dr. Swan my freshman year. Dr. Swan
brought out the best in all of the students in the class, and you typically
could hear Dr. Swan yelling his latest “phrase” to help us understand the
material.
