Voyage 3  July 9-15                                                          Chaperone: Bob Vaughan

Quotes from Voyage#3:

"I feel a lot more comfortable about going to Tabor in the fall."
"The food was GREAT!!"
"The hands on activities helped me to learn and remember the concepts."
"I did meet new friends and made a couple of best friends.  I feel more knowledgeable about how welcoming and open Tabor and its people are."

The Tabor Boy Voyage #3 bus left Marion on Sunday at 9:30.   With only one stop at Logan, the bus arrived Camden at approximately 3:30PM.  The Wayfarer launch transported the students and their gear out to the vessel which is anchored in the outer harbor.  The students were all on board by 4:30....lots of luggage this week! Once on board, the students were given a tour by student crew members.  Dinner tonight will be shepherd's pie.

The schedule for the week is as follows.  (Please note it is subject to change):

Monday: Depart Camden approx. 11:00 AM heading toward Wreck Island/ Stonington.  Intertidal work.
Tuesday: Sail toward Mt. Desert Island; hike Acadia Mt. and swim in Echo Lake.
Wednesday: Depart for Bar Harbor.  Students can eat dinner in town!
Thursday: Sail to Mackerel Cove, Swans Island.  Visit old printing press in operation.
Friday: Return to Camden in afternoon. Spend short time ashore.
Sat. Depart 7am by bus for Marion, Massachusetts

Oceanographic work is done throughout the week with a test at the end of the week. The Oceanographer is Aimee Rowe.  If anyone has any questions during the week, please don't hesitate to call 9-3PM  508-748-2000 x2219.  My email is lgeil@taboracademy.org.  Have a great week!  Leslie Geil
