Students seeking admission to Tabor should be of good character and have demonstrated both the motivation and the ability to profit from a challenging college preparatory course of study. They should possess talents and interests that can be nurtured at Tabor, and they should be intrigued by the possibility of contributing to the community in a number of ways. Because admission to Tabor is competitive, the school is able to accept only a percentage of those students who apply each year.

The Admissions Office realizes the significance of a family's decision to consider an independent school and is happy to provide complete information about Tabor Academy and the application process.

Candidates should contact Tabor during the fall or early winter preceding the academic year in which they wish to enter. Parents should complete the "Application for Admission" and return it along with the $50 application fee. Applications should be completed by the January 31 deadline. Applicants who have completed the application process by the deadline will be notified of the decision of the Admissions Committee by the Director of Admissions on March 10. Tabor adheres to the Parents' Reply Date of April 10, in agreement with the Secondary School Admissions Test Board and the National Association of Independent Schools. Candidates completing applications after January 31 will be reviewed in a rolling admissions fashion if space is available.
